Types of Generators:
Closed Generators – Generators that are canopied make them weatherproof and soundproof. Suitable for home property use or where silence is a benefit. They also come with lockable access doors and control panel viewing window. We have a variety of makes and models on offer.
Open Generators – These are generator sets that are without a canopy and usually come with a skid mount and base frame. More suitable for commercial spaces as they create more noise than canopied generators, although industrial silencers can be purchased. Open generator sets are cost effective and their usage is flexible.
Standby Generators – A standby generator automatically switches on when a power failure occurs, therefore, a great backup power option for high rise buildings, fire protection systems and medical equipment, and also beneficial to areas that are generally susceptible to power outages.
Diesel Generators - A diesel generator is the combination of a diesel engine with an electric generator (often an alternator) to generate electrical energy. Diesel generators are the most popular on the market, and we supply a wide range of sizes to suit your requirements.
Gas Generators - A gas generator works by combining fuel and air together in order to power the unit. Using natural gas as a fuel is more environmentally friendly and less expensive than other non-renewable fuels. Natural gas generators are also effective in reducing costs when used to power homes. We are able to quote and build a wide range of gas generators.
Choosing a Generator - Buying a generator can be a significant investment. It is important you choose the correct type and size. There are decisions to make on the generator type (open, closed, standby), fuel type (diesel, gas), which brand is best (Perkins, Cummins), and what size generator is appropriate. Please contact us here at OMNI Generators to discuss your options and requirements, and we are more than happy to provide you with a no obligation quotation.
